• To create a community of support and help for suffers of Hidradenitis Suppurativa, where they can communicate with other suffers and share and distribute ideas and experiences in both formal and informal ways
  
• To provide an informative and readable resource for suffers. There are many medical sites but research has shown that people want a human touch to medical matters and this we, the community here, try to provide this.
• The provision of an open access repository for Hidrandenitis Suppurativa. To assist in the widest possible dissemination of all papers related to Hidrandenitis Suppurativa (please be aware that we can provide expert and free advice and consultation on IPR issues pertaining to the site, potential submissions and academic publication)
• To widen the dissemination of academic research. We support the traditional and long standing academic process of publication via peer review, however this is not without a cost. Much of the copyright is assigned to publishers and as such cannot be republished or made publicly available. The purpose of the articles in the causes and treatment sections is to expand and consolidate this work within the scope of a license (creative commons) that can be more widely disseminated.
